What is PTA?

  • PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association.

  • PTA is an association made up of parents, teachers, and community members who have a special interest in children, families, and schools. 

  • PTA is the "fan club" for children. 

  • PTA members support teacher and school goals/initiatives, volunteer for programs that benefit kids, sponsor fundraisers that benefit our school staff and facilities, and become more informed on issues regarding children and youth.  

  • We love parent participation at ANY level...whether it’s simply signing up for membership or volunteering at PTA sponsored school events. PTA offers a variety of opportunities for you and your children. As fellow parents, we know that free time can be difficult to find. We welcome any parents who have the availability to volunteer but understand that isn’t the case for many families . THERE IS NO PRESSURE TO VOLUNTEER.

    1. Facilitates a Spirit Wear store for purchase of school apparel.

    2. Assists in facilitation of the PTA Reflections program, a fine arts contest for PTA students

    3. Hosts three PTA meetings which include student performances where the kids can showcase their talents.

    4. Fundraise to purchase items that benefit the teachers/students of Stuart Place Elementary. 

    5. Support literacy by providing top reader awards for year end Celebrate Success ceremony.

    6. Supports attendance by donating gifts for the attendance awards.

    7. Assist the schools in events: Texas Public School event, Meet the teacher, field trips, teacher appreciation events, and more.
